Lawrence A. Bennett

Larry holds B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of San Francisco and a J.D. degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi and served as associate editor of the Pacific Law Journal. He was recipient of the most outstanding student advocate award and the author of “An Offer You Can’t Refuse: The Current Status Of Plea Bargaining In California,” in the Pacific Law Journal.

Larry was admitted to the California Bar in 1976, and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, for the Ninth Circuit. He is a member of the Panel of Arbitrators for the San Francisco Superior Court. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the San Francisco Bar Association, the Association of Defense Counsel the Defense Research Institute, and was selected a Northern California Superlawyer. He is rated AV (highest rating) by Martindale-Hubbell.

Larry has thirty-three years experience in tort litigation, general business litigation and insurance coverage matters, including products liability, premises liability, medical and other professional malpractice, motor vehicle, construction defect, employment and civil rights matters, property damage, insurance bad faith and public entity litigation.

Moris Davidovitz

Morey obtained his bachelor’s degree (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and obtained his law degree (with Honors) from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley, where he was staff member of the Ecology Law Quarterly.

Morey’s thirty-three year practice includes experience in many aspects of casualty and insurance matters, including transportation, construction defect, municipal liability, professional liability, products liability, environmental, insurance bad faith, insurance coverage, and psychological injuries. He has represented litigants in the California state courts up to the California Supreme Court and the federal courts up to the United States Supreme Court, and has handled construction defect, property damage and insurance matters in Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Washington, Oregon, Texas, Minnesota and Puerto Rico.

Morey is an arbitrator, pro tem settlement judge, and mediator for various courts, and has acted as an expert witness for insurance claims procedures. He is rated AV (highest rating) by Martindale-Hubbell and was selected as a Northern California Superlawyer. Morey’s recent trials include an environmental damage case of national significance for a public entity, a case of substantial physical injuries for a claimant, a construction defect case for a contractor, and a construction subrogation action for an insurer.

Charles H. Bolcom

Chuck received his B.A. degree from University of California , Berkeley in 1982, and his J.D. degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1997, where he received an award for the best oral argument in Moot Court competition and was editor of the USF Maritime Law Journal. Before his legal career, Charles was assistant to a congressman in Washington D.C. and was a newspaper reporter. Charles’ practice is litigation, emphasizing environmental, municipal liability, and construction defects.

Stacey Alton

Stacey received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 1996 and her J.D. degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2002. While in law school, she interned with the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, the Federal Public Defender’s Office and the Women’s Employment Rights Clinic.

Stacey represents both plaintiffs and defendants in construction defect, delay claims, employment, insurance bad faith, professional liability and environmental toxic tort claims. Prior to joining Davidovitz & Bennett LLP in 2007, Stacey was an associate with Severson & Werson where she represented design professionals, construction managers and other related entities in construction defect and delay claims. She also defended architects, engineers and other professionals against errors and omissions claims involving high-end residential projects, multi-family residential projects and public works projects.

Stacey has been admitted to practice in the State of California since 2002, and is admitted to practice before all of the federal courts in California.

Hilary Youngblood

Hilary’s civil litigation practice is focused primarily in areas of medical malpractice, products liability, personal injury, and environmental tort litigation.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from The George Washington University, Hilary received her J.D. from Tulane University Law School. During law school, Ms. Youngblood completed a clerkship with the Dallas County 255th District Court in Dallas, Texas. Before joining Davidovitz & Bennett LLP in 2007, she served as a staff attorney with Bay Area Legal Aid.

She has been admitted to practice in the State of California, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, and the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.

Robert Diemer
(Of Counsel)

Bob holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame. He received his J.D. degree (cum laude) in 1986 from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where served as Articles Editor of the Case Western Reserve Law Review. He also wrote the article “Assuring the Public Interest in Equal Employment Opportunity After Firefighters Local 1781 v. Stotts,” 36 Case Western Reserve Law Review 87 (1986).

Bob is admitted in all state and federal courts in California since 1986, and before the Supreme Court of the Federated States of Micronesia since 1992. Bob has tried 19 cases to verdict. His current practice focuses on insurance coverage and litigation, indemnity, personal injury, and construction defect litigation. Bob’s significant cases include the successful defense of a soils engineer in a $100-million bridge collapse action before the Supreme Court of the Republic of Palau.

Patricia S. Lakner
(Of Counsel)

Patricia her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and her J.D. degree from the University of San Francisco. She has been a member of the California Bar since 1984, and also belongs to the Association of Defense Counsel. Patricia’s practice is insurance coverage matters, environmental claims, transportation, professional liability and construction defect cases. Patricia is fluent in French.

James L. English
(Of Counsel)

Jim is a graduate of Marquette University Law School. He has been a member of the California Bar since 1973 and is a past member of the Nevada and Wisconsin bars. He has tried over eighty cases to verdict and has handled over sixty appeals in California, Nevada, Wisconsin, and the Fifth, Seventh and Ninth Circuits of the United States Courts of Appeal. His specialties including trucking, personal injury and construction defect litigation as well as insurance coverage matters including bad faith litigation.

Kristen L. Walter
(Of Counsel)

Kristen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from John Carroll University in 1992. Additionally, she graduated with a Minor in Spanish and a concentration in International Relations. She also studied abroad in Valencia, Spain and Monterrey, Mexico. In 1995, Kristen received her Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where she was Associate Editor of Health Matrix, the Journal of Law-Medicine. Kristen practices primarily in the areas of wrongful termination, personal injury, product liability, construction defect and medical professional liability. Kristen is admitted to practice law in both California and Ohio.
